Ok, I want to know if the overnight oatmeal works out! Glad to see you guys are finally eating breakfasts!

    • Will do.

The ardoise is getting kind of full… I made a new chalkboard for the front of the fridge for grocery lists and other notes. I might have to take that over for bfast meal planning.

Hi, i think it is brilliant idea to have your meals planned out for the week. I have started doing the same recently, and am hoping this will help my hubby and I eat well and keep track of our spending. Well done.

    • Thanks! You’re right that there are so many benefits to meal planning. It also helps our evenings go more smoothly. We both get home around 7 or 8, so there’s no time to loose getting dinner started.

Congrats on starting your own meal planning! I hope it helps you as much as it’s helped us. You’ll have to keep us posted how you’re doing 🙂

Oh I can’t survive without breakfast. We’re both out the door by 7 or 7.30am. Thankfully, there’s canteen facilities at work so I normally grab 2 slices of toast with peanut butter and a tea. That keeps me going until lunch. I tend to eat breakfast and lunch like a pauper and dinner like a king 😀

I’ve started making an effort with cooking breakfast at the weekend. Tomorrow’s brekkie will be Bill Granger’s ricotta hotcakes!

Do you have chefs who inspire you?

    • Chefs who inspire me… that’s a good question! I don’t really follow anyone in particular. I always like the Barefoot Contessa, Ina Garten, and lately Ellie Krieger’s recipes have been really appealing. Jose Andres can inspire anyone to do anything, not that I use his recipes often (except garbanzos con espinacas). I really enjoy watching old reruns of Julia Child and Jacques Pepin, too!

I’ve only recently ‘discovered’ the Barefoot Contessa and bought her barefoot in Paris book on amazon last week. I’m a fan of Bill Granger – an australian chef and have all his books. We don’t get Julia Child on telly here in the UK, but would you believe I was inspired to start my blog after watching Julie/Julia?
