CSA: Week 1

We’ve joined Stoney Lonesome farm’s CSA and last week was our first pickup. Pickup is on Wednesdays, so this affects our meal planning a bit. The plan will go from Thursday-Wednesday, instead of Saturday-Friday.

Week 1 veggies included: pak choi, scallions, radishes, garlic scapes, butter lettuce, red leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, baby greens, arugula, and swiss chard.

This is the first week of our CSA. We pick up on Wednesdays, so we’ll have to change our meal planning process a little. We’re trying out Stoney Lonesome Farm; I can’t wait to see what’s in the first week!

Fruit & nut bars are from a recipe in the most recent Food & Wine.

The filling for jade dumplings is a very green mixture of aspargus and spring onions.

And our BLT lunch on Saturday was probably the best meal we’ve had in a long time!

Broccoli rabe and tatsoi have bolted! But we’re still trying to pull off some leaves.

Spagetti sauce from market tomato seconds – S did a really nice job.

Sick of peanut butter sandwiches, I made a spinach lasagna just for lunches! Too bad it turned out overly dry.
